Reddish balls of light shoot out of the Mekong river once a year by the hundreds. The Thai people traditionally believe that water dragons, Nagas, do this to celebrate the end of their meditation during the rainy season. Amazing!

New Project!

The Princess and the Dragon

I wanted to start out by hand instead of jumping right into photoshop this time in an effort to keep things loose and see what other media I could use to keep the creative juices flowing.

I happen to have this fantastic art material called Art Graf from my days working at Art Supply Warehouse. This stuff is so fun! It's a little container of solid graphite that when wetted can be used to paint with. I use a vial of water and an old watercolor brush and start painting. When it's dry, it's erasable to bring back some white. This is perfect for the Asian feel this project will have.
